ORBEST-A GPS NAVIGATION SOLUTION ALGORITHM WITHOUT DOP ANALYSIS

Abstract

In previous works the authors presented a static least squares procedure for orbit determination from a redundant set of GPS pseudo-range measurements. The work was later extended to estimate the receiver clock bias. In this paper a complete derivation of the procedure is presented and a new open form solution for the algorithm initialization is proposed. Numerical results from digital simulation as well as from an experiment on the ground are shown.
