Abstract

The new precise orbit determination software system, OCEAN, developed at NRL, is described. Sub-meter level orbit determination results are presented. The J2000.0 based system is capable of simultaneously processing multiple satellites, ground stations, and measurement types in manual or automatic mode. Included in the system are a batch processor, a Kalman filter and backward smoother, and orbit conversion utilities. All are designed to function over the year 2000 rollover. The batch processor processes nineteen measurement types to solve for absolute states, while the filter-smoother processes ranging, GPS pseudorange and carrier phase differential measurement types to solve for absolute and/or relative states.
