ASI - ITALIAN SPACE AGENCY: MAJOR NATIONAL PROGRAMS AND PARTICIPATION IN THE EUROPEAN SPACE ORGANIZATION

Abstract
The major National Space Programs that have been promoted and managed by ASI, along with the ones that are now under development and the Italy's participation in the European Space Organization, are presented. A brief overview of the responsibility of the Italian Space Agency, the definition of the five year based National Space Plan and the budget assigned to ASI, will be given. A survey of the most significant projects and activities carried out by ASI will outline the fields which are addressed presently, both in National and International environment.
