Abstract

DAC (Disturbance accommodating control) logic is designed for a 3-axis stabilized spacecraft attitude control. The simulation results are compared with PIID control logic. For a system type 1, PID controller can achieve the zero steady-state error for constant disturbances. PIID controller can detect and cancel disturbances up to the ramp input. In the proposed control logic, we combine PID control with DAC. PID control is the main control logic. With DAC, we design the disturbance observer to detect the disturbance as well as modeling uncertainties, where a set of base functions for the observer are sinusoidal functions. Then the detected disturbances are compensated by the additional control logic. The comparison simulation is conducted between PIID and PIID with DAC. The simulation results show that PIID with DAC has the better attitude pointing accuracy.
