Abstract

A strategy for station collocation of two satellites via autonomous feedback control is developed in this study. The relative positioning of two satellites satisfiying the collocation requirement is genearted a priori, which is taken as a reference trajectory to be followed by the actual motion of the two satellites. The feedback control law is augmented by a state estimator based upon the Extended Kalman Filter algorithm. Also, the attitude control law is added in conjunction with the guidance law which is motivated by the inherent coupling between the attitude and translational motion of a satellite.
