All sessions will be held on the second floor of the Sheraton Halifax Hotel.

Authors Briefing

A briefing for all Session Chairs and Speakers of all papers for that day will be held in Nova Scotia A at 7:00 AM; on Thursday, 17 August the meeting will be in the Annapolis room. A complimentary breakfast (continental) will be available. Please make every effor to be at the briefing for a prompt start at 7:00 AM.

Papers

Each author has been requested to bring 50 copies of his/her paper to the conference. These pre-prings will be on sale for $1.00 per paper in Suites 288 and 292 (second floor). Please note that we have a NO PAPER, NO PODIUM policy which means that if no paper is provided, the paper will not be presented.

Session Schedule

All technical session start at 9:00 AM every day except on Thursday, when they begin at 8:00 AM. All presentations will be no longer than 25 minutes in duration: 20 minutes for the speaker's presentation and 5 minutes for questions. This schedule will be strictly followed in order that attendees may have an opportunity to go to a presentation of the next paper in a parallel session. There will be two 25 minute coffee breaks every day from 10:15 AM-10:40 AM and 3:10 PM-3:35 PM.

Special Talks

There will be two special talks during the conference. The evening keynote lecture will be delivered by Mr. Karl Doetsch, Vice President of the Canadian Space Agency and President of the International Astronautical Federation. His talk is scheduled for 5:00 PM on Monday, 14 August 1995, in Nova Scotia C, D. A Plenary Session is scheduled on Tuesday, 15 August 1995, 8:00 AM-8:50 AM in the Halifax Ballroom. The speaker is Dr. Richard Battin, Adjunct Professor, MIT. Please check the Bulletin Board for further information.

Social Events

Early-Bird-Get-Together from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Halifax A.

Monday, 14 August 1995
A jet-lag/get acquainted coffee hour is scheduled in the morning from 8:00 AM-9:00 AM in the foyer of the Halifax Ballroom. Immediately following the keynote lecture, there will be a reception (6:00 PM) in the Halifax Ballroom.

Tuesday, 15 August 1995
The Conference Dinner will be held on Tuesday at Pier 22. Bus transportation from the Hotel to the Pier will be provided. Please check the Bulletin Boards for any last-minute changes to the schedule. The main course is a lobster entree; chicken will be substituted, if desired, for no additional charge. The cost of the dinner is $30 for adults and $10 for children. There will be a separate children's menu. Please check at the Registration Desk for tickets.

Wednesday, 16 August 1995
Buses will be available for a trip to Peggy's Cove, a well known tourist attraction in the Halifax area. There sill be a fee for the trip, please check the Bulletin Boards for the latest information.
